Position Overview: The Slitter Assistant assists the operator in setting up
and running the Slitter, checking that product info is correct for each work
order.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in Slitter operation
- Ensure the Correct raw materials are used to start each run
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Assist with basic equipment troubleshooting and repair
- To work as part of a team
Primary Objectives:
- Produce quality products
- Improve on production time
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Good organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge and operations of chain hoists, and slings
- Must follow all safety procedures daily
